The Door Peninsula is in for a soaking.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch from 7 p.m. Wednesday through 7 a.m. Friday. Rainfall totals are expected to range between 1 ½ and 2 ½ inches at most locations and the rainfall could result in flooding of low-lying areas and small streams. Both Door and Kewaunee counties are included in the flood watch.
The water will take a little longer to reach larger streams and rivers so the threat of flooding along rivers will persist into the weekend.
