The Village of Sister Bay will be holding an informational meeting Tuesday, April 16 to give members of the public a first look at the draft redevelopment proposal for the downtown.
In 2012, the village's Economic Development Committee started efforts to revitalize the village's economy to create jobs and spur development. Those efforts resulted in contracting with Vandewalle and Associates to develop a redevelopment plan, which targets six key parcels.
A pedestrian-oriented "Market Alley" off of Sunset Drive and a waterfront-focused recreation area off of Mill Road are ideas being explored for two of the parcels.
Village Administrator Bob Kufrin says citizen input is critical to the plan's success and is encouraging the public to attend the meeting. It'll be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the village fire station.
