Veterans were the V.I.P. guests at a special event Sunday at the Sturgeon Bay Cinema.
Veterans, their families and members of the community gathered to take in a special showing of Honor Flight, which chronicles the story of four World War II veterans who fly to Washington, DC to see the memorial they served to inspire.
Some of those in attendance have been on an Honor Flight.
Ralph Miller, who served in the Army from 1945 to 1947, says he went on the flight about three years ago and really enjoyed it.
Miller says his favorite part of the trip was the visit to the World War II Memorial.

Joseph Walag of Algoma, a 20-year veteran of the Coast Guard, says one of the most emotional moments of his trip came when they announced a 'mail call' during the return flight.
The radio stations of DoorCountyDailyNews.com teamed with the Sturgeon Bay Cinema and area businesses to sponsor two showings of the movie on Sunday.
