The trial for an Illinois man facing two counts of murder in Door County will go on as scheduled in early April.
That was the ruling Wednesday by Door County Judge Todd Ehlers who denied a defense motion to delay the trial for Brian Cooper, who's accused of killing 21-year-old Alisha Bromfield and her unborn child at a Town of Nasewaupee resort last August.
Cooper has pleaded not guilty and not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
Jury selection is scheduled to take place in Wood County April 5 with the trial slated to start in Sturgeon Bay April 8.
