Door County Sheriff Terry Vogel says the 13-year-old Brussels boy who died after the snowmobile he was driving collided with a truck Friday afternoon in southern Door County was identified as Brett M. Buhr. The driver of the truck involved in the crash was identified as 47-year-old Joel Jeanquart.
According to a press release from the Door County Sheriff's Department, the Sheriff's office was notified Friday at 4:30 p.m. about a traffic crash involving a truck and a snowmobile on County Highway C near Swamp Road in the Township of Brussels.
The boy was operating eastbound on a designated snowmobile trail when he stopped before crossing Highway C. He then attempted to cross the highway and was struck by a northbound truck driven by 47-year-old Jeanquart of Brussels.
