Door County is now included in a Winter Weather Advisory posted for Friday.
The advisory for snow and blowing snow is in effect Friday from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m.
The National Weather Service says light to moderate snow will push into the area between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. Friday and continue into the early afternoon. Lighter snow will continue into Friday evening.
Three to five inches of snow is expected to fall by Friday evening in Door and Marinette counties with two to four inches further west.
Snow covered roads will make travel hazardous for the morning commute. Gusty winds near the lake and bay will also produce blowing and drifting snow and poor visibility.
