The woman who co-founded the Wellness Center of Door County is stepping down.
Michele Geiger-Bronksy, the Wellness Center's chief clinical officer, submitted her resignation on Wednesday.
A post on the Wellness Center's Facebook page said: "After serving our community for more than a decade we bid our founder Michele Geiger-Bronsky a fond and grateful farewell."
Geiger-Bronsky co-founded the clinic in 2003 and recently guided the facility through a major expansion and remodeling project.
The clinic is located at 312 N. 5th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay.
Geiger-Bronsky developed the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program for Door County and in 2008 was named a Champion of Women's Health by the Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation.
