Wintry Mix Expected Sunday Afternoon

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Door and Kewaunee Counties until 6 p.m.

A light freezing rain mixed with snow will coat the peninsula beginning late Sunday morning. It will become heavier throughout the afternoon before tapering off in the evening.

Air temperatures will be warming to just above freezing, but the ground temperature will be much slower to warm causing widespread icing on roads and sidewalks. Use caution while driving and be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.
