One of the discussions at the annual Sturgeon Bay Board of Education strategic planning session Thursday focused on how to improve community outreach.
Superintendent Joe Stutting says the board would like to get more community input in strategic planning but the district hasn’t had much luck in past attempts to gather ideas.
It’s easy to get parents involved by sending updates home with students, and Stutting says the district uses its website, cable channel and the local newspapers often to spread messages.
The board is also in the process of changing and updating current policies. They’ll look over the policies for the first time in March and approve the changes in April.
