Informational Meeting On Civility Planned For Feb. 4

The topic of civility will be the focus of an upcoming meeting in Sturgeon Bay.

The meeting, sponsored by the Door County League of Women Voters, will take place Monday, February 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Community Room at Sturgeon Bay City Hall. Dr. Tom Grogan of UW-Oshkosh will share the steps taken by the community of Oshkosh as they developed the Oshkosh Civility Project.

The Oshkosh Civility Project's work was built upon the efforts taking place in communities throughout the region, state, nation and world. The group used the "Speak Your Peace" promotional materials that were developed in Duluth-Superior and successfully used in many places including Truckee-Tahoe, California.

The League says anyone with an interest in regaining civility in the community and learning more about Oshkosh Civility Project is invited to attend. RSVPs are appreciated to lwvdcprez@gmail.com or 743-1691.
