Art owned by local collectors will be featured in a new exhibition at the Miller Art Museum in Sturgeon Bay.
"Show and Tell," an exploration of private art collecting, will open Saturday, February 2 and is the result of generous loans of painting, sculpture, printmaking, pottery, and ethnographic materials from the homes of 20 area collectors. Many of the lenders will be present at the opening reception Saturday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. where the public is invited to enjoy wine, appetizers, and conversation.
The exhibition continues through April 16.
The Miller Art Museum (http://www.millerartmuseum.org/) is located at 107 S. 4th Ave., Sturgeon Bay, within the Door County Library. Museum hours are Monday 10-8, Tuesday-Saturday 10-5:00. Admission is free and the galleries are fully accessible.
