This will be no ordinary week at St. John Bosco Catholic School in Sturgeon Bay.
It's National Catholic Schools Week and Sr. Pat Beckman, principal at St. John Bosco, says they have activities scheduled for each day. She says students are also working on a service project, collecting supplies and making cards for Door County troops serving overseas through the Adopt-a-Soldier program.
She says they did something similar for Veterans Day and it was very well received.
Other activities this week will include a talent show, trivia contest, "special persons day" and a family dance. The week kicked off Sunday with a pancake breakfast.
St. John Bosco School serves about 115 students (4K through 8th grade) from Sturgeon Bay, Sevastopol, and Southern Door. Sr. Beckman says it became Door County's only Catholic school in 2007 when the schools of Corpus Christi, St. Peter & Paul, and St. Joseph's combined.
