A couple from Luxemburg are this year's winners of the Wisconsin Outstanding Young Farmer award.
David and Stacy Jauquet of Luxemburg were awarded the honor Saturday night in Keshena after competing against 11 other finalists. The Wisconsin Ag Connection says the two help operate a 600-cow dairy operation. Their farm served as the host for the county's 2012 dairy breakfast.
The Wisconsin OYF program was developed in 1954 to recognize the younger generation of successful agriculturists in the state. Winners are selected based on progress in their agricultural career, soil and water conservation, and contributions to community, state and nation.
