The Village of Sister Bay Parks Committee issued a request for proposals this week for transient vendors interested in bringing their business to Waterfront Park. Village Administrator Bob Kufrin says the Parks Committee has been kicking around the idea of allowing vendor carts in the park with the Village Board and the Sister Bay Advancement Association since early 2012.
Proposals are due March 1, and Kufrin says the Parks Committee will review them first to decide which vendors, if any, to meet with face-to-face before passing the proposals on to the village board for final approval.
If it happens, Kufrin says it’ll be a pretty momentous change. The overall goal is to make Waterfront Park more of a destination and create a bigger, better experience for residents and visitors.
