The turning of the calendar page to a new year means different things to different people. For some, it means making a New Year's resolution.
Sturgeon Bay School Superintendent Joe Stutting says his resolution tends to be the same every year.
Jon Jarosh of the Door County Visitor Bureau says he has a water-themed resolution for 2013.
Speaking of water, we checked in with Senior Chief Wayne Spritka, officer in charge of the Sturgeon Bay and Washington Island Coast Guard stations.
Hoyt Purinton of the Washington Island Ferry Line -- which is currently involved in a dredging project by the Island Potato Dock -- says he has a very immediate goal.
"And I guess to work as diligently and efficiently as we can with whatever Mother Nature can throw at us," says Purinton. "I guess that's what we do every day."
Pam Seiler of the Volunteer Center of Door County says she's not a resolution maker, but her 13-year-old daughter is. "She's giving them to me (as we speak)," says Seiler.
