Starting Wednesday morning, the Sturgeon Bay High School will be open to community members who would like to walk in the hallways.
Superintendent Joe Stutting says walkers should use the front or back entrances to the high school. The hallways will be open for walking weekdays 6 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.
Members of the school board wanted to help out those who like to get some exercise without worrying about slipping on icy streets.
“We just feel that it’s a community service, and the board agreed that this is a great opportunity for the taxpayers to get more out of what they pay for,” says Stutting.
