An interview team has been established to help find Door County's next parks and airport director.
Door County Administrator Maureen Murphy says she'll be joined on the five-person team by Human Resources Director Kelly Hendee, County Highway Commissioner John Kolodziej, County Board Chair Dan Austad and Airport and Parks Committee Chair Charles Brann.
Applications are still being accepted for the position. The deadline to apply is December 14 at 4:30 p.m.
George Pinney, who held the post for 17 years, died in September. Airport Manager Keith Kasbohm has been serving as interim parks/airport director.
The Door County Parks Department oversees the operation of 19 county parks, covering approximately 948 acres and 12 miles of groomed trails, 7 launching ramps, 3 swimming beaches, 14 restrooms and numerous picnic and playground facilities.
