Sturgeon Bay's newest assisted living facility is open for business.
Anna's Healthcare is located at 839 South 18th Avenue, just south of Utah Street.
Owner Tammy Begley says residents who've already moved in say they're happy with their new home.
The community-based residential facility can accommodate 70 residents and has rooms, suites and apartments. It features a chapel, fitness facility, computer room, library and several community rooms.
Begley says the finished product matches her vision -- with one exception. And it's not necessarily a bad thing. She says the community rooms will have plenty of cabinets.
Begley, who also operates an Anna's Healthcare facility in New Franken, says the construction process went smoothly.
"It went very well with not much complication," says Begley. "It went quickly and before we knew it we were up and running."
Begley says the only project left is to install the windows and doors on the chapel, and she says that should be completed in the next week or so.
She says a ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for December 12 with a community open house likely held sometime after the holidays.
