Whether it's buying a Christmas gift or looking for holiday meal ideas, Wisconsin's Alice in Dairyland is encouraging folks to keep the Badger State in mind while doing their holiday shopping.
Rochelle Ripp, the state's 65th Alice in Dairyland, says consumers can do that by looking for the red "Something Special from Wisconsin" label, which means at least 50 percent of the product's ingredients or processing takes place in Wisconsin.
And she says 'Something Special' involves more than just food.
So has 'Alice' started HER Christmas shopping yet? Ripp says no, but doing what she does has given her a lot of good ideas.
