Old Glory Honor Flight is announcing the premiere of a special documentary that chronicles the story of 19 Pearl Harbor survivors from Wisconsin returning to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The trip took place this June, more than 70 years after the infamous attack on December 7, 1941.
The premiere of "Return to Pearl" will take place Sunday, December 2 at the Grand Opera House, 100 High Avenue, Oshkosh. A pre-show reception begins at 5:00 p.m. The showing starts at 6:00.
Seating is limited and a nominal fee will be charged for tickets. The event is open to the public.
Kewaunee County Veterans Service Officer Joe Aulik says no Door or Kewaunee County veterans were among the 19 on the June trip. Aulik says the last Pearl Harbor veteran from Kewaunee County resides in a nursing home in Green Bay.
