After nine years on the Egg Harbor Village Board -- six of them as president -- Nancy Fisher has decided not to run again.
Fisher tells DoorCountyDailyNews.com she believes in term limits and since they're not mandated, she thinks they need to be self imposed. She says she's ready to hand the reins and responsibility to the next person.
Fisher says it's been gratifying to be part of positive changes in Egg Harbor, including the new marina, beach expansion, Peg Egan Performing Arts Center, the inauguration of the public art and pocket parks projects, new dog park, and the purchase of land on Highway 42 for a new library/village center.
In addition to the president's position, two trustee seats on the Egg Harbor Village Board are up for election on April 2.
Nomination papers for all three positions may be taken out starting Monday, December 3.
