
Home sales in Door and Kewaunee counties took a jump in October.
In Kewaunee County it was actually more like a huge leap.
According to figures released by the Wisconsin REALTORS Association, Kewaunee County registered 17 home sales in October. That's up from just 4 in October 2011, or an increase of 325%.
Door County tallied a 31.8% increase, from 44 sales in October of last year to 58 sales in October 2012.
A comparison of year to date sales of existing homes shows the same trends.
Through October, Door County's home sales are up 26.3% (451 through October 2012 compared to 357 at this point in 2011), while Kewaunee County's sales have virtually doubled, from 81 to 161.
Median prices of homes are lower in both counties.
