Some motorists will take it in stride. Others will rank it somewhere on the inconvenience scale. But when Sturgeon Bay's highway bridge closes to traffic come April, all will have to adjust.
Police Chief Arleigh Porter says motorists, especially those who live in the area, will have to get used to taking new routes.
Porter says the Bayview Bridge is scheduled to close to traffic on or around April 1 and re-open by June 28. He says he's talked to people who were under the mistaken belief that the bridge would be closed the entire summer.
The $4.8 million project began November 5 with electrical work.
The last major repairs to the 34-year-old bridge were done in 2004.
