A sisterly relationship is going to be topic of a meeting Friday in Sturgeon Bay.
Door County has had a Sister City connection with Jingdezhen, China since 2004 and officials will meet Friday to discuss the future of the relationship.
Door County Economic Development Corporation executive director Bill Chaudoir says so far one side's been doing most of the traveling.
"We're going to go through a process of explaining what's been done to date and what the involvement has been on both sides and then basically kind of open it up," says Chaudoir. "We're hoping we get some fresh ideas and interest by some people that maybe weren't even aware that we had this program."
Chaudoir says the most recent exchange was earlier this year when a Jingdezhen delegation visited the Door Peninsula. Following the visit, Door County Board Chairman Dan Austad asked that an informal advisory group be put together to assess the program.
The meeting will take place Friday, November 16 at 10 a.m. in the Peninsula Room at the Door County Government Center in Sturgeon Bay.
