The Maple-Oregon Street Bridge in Sturgeon Bay will be closed to traffic for a good part of the day on Tuesday.
The Door County Highway Department says the bridge will be closed Tuesday, November 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to take care of some needed repairs.
County Highway Commissioner John Kolodziej says a damaged rubber seal on one of the lift spans needs to be replaced and crews can only do it when the bridge is in the open position.
The Department of Transportation will be conducting the repairs with the help of the Door County Highway Department.
If repairs go better than anticipated the bridge will reopen to traffic before 3 p.m.
