The Door County Invasive Species Team will be presenting information about invasive species and their efforts around Door County in Forestville next week.
DCIST will host a public meeting on November 19th from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the Forestville Town Hall which will include a discussion on current projects and initiatives, plans for the future, and how DCIST can work with and be a resource to private landowners.
Coordinator Kari Hagenow says DCIST has had a great deal of success in the last year in Southern Door County – but needs more volunteers to continue.
DCIST's mission is to halt the invasion of exotic non-native plants by empowering citizens with the education, the tools, and the skills necessary to control these species.
For more information on the meeting, please contact Kari Hagenow at (920) 743-8695 or khagenow@tnc.org.
