Seven To Compete For Miss Door County

A field of seven young ladies will be competing for the title of Miss Door County in February.

Four of the seven are seniors at Southern Door High School: Brandi Hernandez, the daughter of Alfredo and Artemisa Hernandez of Sturgeon Bay; Rachel Andres, the daughter of Jim and Susan Andres of Sturgeon Bay; Brittany Hallet, daughter of Mike Hallet of Brussels; and Samantha Paider, the daughter of Jake and Laura Paider of Brussels.

Two are sisters: Hannah Cole is a student at NWTC and Samantha Cole attends UW-Stevens Point. They are the daughters of Jerald and Holly Cole of Sturgeon Bay.

Rounding out the field is Cecelia Abshire, a Gibraltar graduate and student at Marian University, the daughter of Greg and Pam Abshire of Sister Bay.

The pageant will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Southern Door Community Auditorium.

There will also be an Outstanding Teen competition. Those participants include: Abbigayle Grosbeier, a student at Southern Door and the daughter of Thomas and April Grosbeier of Brussels; Tessa Krueger, a student at Sevastopol High School and the daughter of Knute and Jennifer Krueger of Sturgeon Bay; Sophia Pollman, a student at Sevastopol High School and the daughter of Rob and Nikki Pollman of Sturgeon Bay; and Anna Snell, a student at Gibraltar High School and the daughter of Mike and Liza Snell of Egg Harbor.
