Door County's numerous non profits often lead to multiple organizations with things in common. Two groups share more than just the services they provide to youth in the community- their leaders are married.
Dan Powell is the Chief Executive Officer of the Door County YMCA and his wife Heather Powell is the Chief Professional Officer of the Door County Boys and Girls Club.

One such project that the husband and wife duo worked together on –along with various other non profits in the area—was the summer's food service program.

The Powell's moved to Door County about six years ago when Dan got his start with the YMCA. Heather took up her role with the Boys and Girls Club about two years back.
