Daylight Saving Time ends early tomorrow morning, and that means you gain an extra hour of staying in or going out tonight.
With the reminder to set your clocks back, the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs also wants you to remember "fall back" is a great time to check a few household items to keep your family and yourself safe.
Check and, if needed, replace batteries in your home's smoke detectors. The Department of Military Affairs says it is estimated that about 16 million homes in the country have alarms that do not work.
Be sure to check to make sure all carbon monoxide detectors are functioning as they should.
Finally, make sure your home is equipped with an emergency kit with enough supplies for everyone in your house for at least three days. Other items like a battery powered or crank radio, flashlights, and first aid kit should also be included.
