A new law took effect on November 1 that restricts any use of cell phones for drivers with their learner’s permits or probationary licenses. This new rule most directly hits the teenage driving population, and most of the students at Sevastopol. Senior Heather Hansen, who currently has her learner’s permit, has her own opinion on how the new law will affect traffic.
Junior Alex Vanderhoof also thinks that the new law is a good change and will keep roads safer.
With the new law taking effect, most students at Sevastopol will not be able text or talk on their cell phones while driving.
