Door County's new administrator Maureen Murphy has been on the job just shy of a solid month now, but she has been quite busy so far; touring the region to get to know the county's board of supervisors.
Murphy has met with 15 of the 21 supervisors through her first month on the job, and is also on her way to meeting with most department heads and independently elected officials as well. One of her favorite things so far though has been visiting with local town boards.
Murphy also has plans to visit the Jacksonport and Sister Bay boards as well.
Murphy says she is excited for the November 8th meeting to appoint a new County Parks Director. Most importantly, she says she is still just glad to be working here.
Murphy invites anyone interested in the County's budget to come to the public budget session next week on Tuesday November 6th at 9:00 AM to have any questions answered or speak their opinion about the issue.
