Trailer Catches Fire In Resort Parking Lot

There was some unplanned activity Thursday night in the parking lot of Stone Harbor Resort & Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay.

A trailer in the parking lot caught fire.

Fire Chief Tim Herlache says the trailer belonged to Fox Valley Clean Air, a commercial duct cleaning company. The chief says the power washer engine's exhaust pipe became detached from the engine and started the trailer on fire.

Herlache says the trailer is considered a total loss but there was minimal damage to the power washer.

Crews were not on the scene long. The call came into dispatchers at 10:07 p.m. Firefighters cleared the scene at 10:27.
