A former DoorCountyDailyNews.com student correspondent will be honored during an agriculture awards dinner November 2 in Kansas City.
Matt Olson, a 2012 graduate of Southern Door High School, will be recognized as a National AFA Leader and Academic Scholar at the Agriculture Future of America's Leader in Agriculture Award Dinner.
The dinner is held in conjunction with the AFA Leaders Conference, which connects top agriculture students with industry professionals. Olson will be among 500 students attending the conference and will have the opportunity to network with peers and professionals and invest in his personal development.
The AFA Leader and Academic Scholarship provides for Olson’s attendance to the event and support toward his freshman year tuition costs at University of Wisconsin where he is studying agricultural communications and journalism.
