Running Wild

Mostly sunny, breezy and cool conditions greeted participants in Saturday's annual 'Run Wild' event at Potawatomi State Park. 

The event featured a 10K, 3 Mile Run/Walk, and a 1/3-mile Smokey Bear Fun Run.  

Rodee Schneider of Appleton won the 10K with a time of 34:26.

Danny Stawicki of Sturgeon Bay was the top finisher in the 3 mile run with a time of 18:18. In fact, the Stawicki boys captured three of the top four spots, with Matthew Stawicki taking third place and Joe Stawicki capturing fourth. 

The event was cancelled in 2011 because of a windstorm that downed trees and caused power outages in the park.
