A heads up for Kewaunee County residents that this week and next week the Kewaunee Power Station will be performing maintenance on all sirens located in the county.
Kewaunee County Emergency Management officials say during the testing, residents may hear actual siren activations for approximately one minute and notice activity going on around the siren sites.
Performance of this routine maintenance helps to ensure that sirens in the county work well should they need to be activated.
During the duration of the testing if individuals have concerns and are unsure whether the activities may be related to the maintenance, call (920) 845-9700 or (920) 388-3100 for verification. In the event of an actual emergency dial 911.
