
The skies cleared up, the band rocked, and the sweet corn snapped from the cob with just the right pop.

Saturday marked the annual Sunshine House Corn Fest at Schopf's Hilltop Dairy near Carlsville, which included a bake sale, live music from the Modern Day Drifters, kids games, and a silent auction. All proceeds of Schopf's corn maze on the day will go to the Sunshine House.

Owner of Schopf's Hilltop Dairy Store Roxanne Schopf says the importance of helping out those in her own community is her reason for putting such a strong backing behind the organization.
Sunshine House Chief Executive Officer Jim Meyer says, after an initial setup in the rain Friday, everything came together for a wonderful Corn Fest.
