Members of Door County's Administrative Committee Tuesday are expected to make their selection for a new county administrator.
The three finalists for the position -- all village administrators -- are: Josh Van Lieshout of Egg Harbor, Maureen Murphy of Slinger and Charles Kell of Little Chute.
Door County Human Resources Director Kelly Hendee says of the nine applications the county received those three were a cut above the rest.
Members of the Administrative Committee are Dan Austad, Leo Zipperer, Cletus Fontaine, John Neinas, David Lienau and Ken Fisher.
Their recommendation will be taken up by the County Board August 28.
Hendee says the start date for the new administrator will depend on that person's schedule and existing contract.
The position is open because former County Administrator Michael Serpe was fired March 30 for unsatisfactory behavior. Serpe was recently hired as a consultant by the Village of Egg Harbor.
