Now there's another connection between Massachusetts and Wisconsin's thumb.
A maritime-themed display set to be unveiled at Sturgeon Bay's City Hall was inspired during a visit to Boston.
Roen Salvage President John Asher says he and Sturgeon Bay City Administrator Steve McNeil were on vacation in Boston last year and visiting the historic Union Oyster House when they noticed a dozen or so shadow box displays on one of the restaurant's walls -- each depicting a memorable moment in Boston's history...
Fourteen months and a lot of work later, the vision is set to become reality, as a group of 19 shadow boxes -- each representing a different business or aspect of Sturgeon Bay's maritime history -- will be unveiled at City Hall.

McNeil has seen the finished products trickle in to City Hall over the last several months and says it was exciting to see each one...
Some of the represented businesses include Bay Shipbuilding, Palmer Johnson Yachts, the U.S. Coast Guard, and Roen Salvage -- that one Asher worked on himself.
Asher says it's an exciting project and he's eager to have people see the displays, which now adorn the walls on both the first and second floors of City Hall...
The exhibit, entitled "Shadows of our Maritime History," will be unveiled during a special invitation-only event Friday night at City Hall. Members of the general public will be able to see it for the first time on Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m.
