With summer in full swing, Kewaunee County is gearing up for the 95th annual Kewaunee County Fair.
People of all ages are welcomed to join the celebration July 19th through the 22nd. Numerous musical acts are planned for the 2012 fair, including Collin Raye, Oil Can Harry, Surf Guys and Blue Moon Swamp. They will be showcased on the Van’s Lumber Midway Stage each day during the festivities. Not only will music be featured but 4-H students and other youth will have different animals and arts on display. To end the weekend fun, a parade will take place at 11:30 am on Sunday by St. Mary’s Church.
This year’s Fairest of the Fair is Katie Olson and Junior Fairest of the Fair is Kayla Bosman. Both young ladies were chosen to represent Kewaunee County after the fairest competition held at CJ’s on May 19th in Kewaunee.
Whether it’s enjoying carnival rides, listening to music, checking out the local livestock, or even having some cotton candy, Kewaunee County assures that everyone who attends will find something enjoyable to take part in during the fair.
