Area residents and visitors alike were out in droves for the 51st annual Belgian Days in Brussels this weekend. The yearly event is put on by the Brussels Lions Club. Club President Mike Zittlow took a break from a busy kitchen preparing burgers, booyah, and Belgian Trippe Sausage to express his happiness with the 2012 festivities.
Vicki Fieck of Sturgeon Bay has been coming to the festival for about fifteen years. She says there are a few things that keep her coming back every year…
Vice President of the Peninsula Belgian American Club Allen Alexander says the event is great for raising awareness about Belgian Heritage in the Door Peninsula.
