About 65 people attended a Town Hall discussion Wednesday at Stone Harbor Resort & Conference Center in Sturgeon Bay to talk about the future of Medicare and Social Security.
The meeting was hosted by AARP Wisconsin. Communications Director Jim Flaherty says the future of both Medicare and Social Security is something that will affect people of all ages.
Flaherty says he doesn't buy into the "I'm not expecting Social Security to be there when I retire" attitude.
"To just throw up your hands and say 'well, I guess we'll not worry about it' -- that's the wrong way to approach this," he says. "All we got to do is make some tweaks and make sure that money is there for us."
Flaherty says those who didn't attend Wednesday's discussion but who still want to provide their input can do so by going to http://www.earnedasay.org/.
