Yesterday at Clark Park in Fish Creek people came out in large numbers to celebrate the Summer Festival.
The Summer Festival kicked off at noon with hot dogs, hamburgers, and corn on the cob, cotton candy, and ice cream bars to help everyone beat the heat just a little easier.
Beating the heat was easy if you were one of the participants who were maybe considered lucky to work the dunk tank. Small children could all be seen taking their turn at soaking some unlucky volunteers.
The bay continued to fill up throughout the day as families found their spot on the water to take in the evening fireworks display.
The day was capped off with the Venetian Boat Parade and although Wednesday nights 4th of July fireworks were rained out, the Fish Creek Summer Festival could not asked for more perfect weather for their fireworks show to bring the entire evening to a close.
