A quick-moving storm with strong winds and heavy rain forced Sturgeon Bay and other communities to call off their fireworks shows Wednesday evening but the majority of the 4th was sunny and very warm with lots of Independence Day celebrations.

The steamy day had a stormy end, with Sturgeon Bay among the communities forced to call off their fireworks show because of the weather. The fireworks have been rescheduled for tonight.
