Ann DeMeuse says summer heat has killed more people in Wisconsin than tornadoes, storms and floods combined.
DeMeuse says one thing to keep in mind is that when the temperature goes up it's important to slow down...
Other tips: Stay hydrated, wear light clothing, eat lighter meals and try to spend more time in air-conditioned places...

She says checking in on family, friends or neighbors is never a bad thing. And never to leave people or pets in a parked car.
"Because those cars heat up very, very quickly," she says. "So for everyone's safety -- pets or people -- don't leave them in a parked car."
