
Be it parades, fireworks, live music, or food, those looking to celebrate Independence Day on the Door Peninsula will not lack for opportunities. Following is a rundown of the events planned around the area.
Egg Harbor - Independence Celebration July 3 & 4
Tuesday, July 3
Egg Harbor businesses open all day!

Dusk | Award-Winning Fireworks!
For best fireworks viewing, sit high on the hill at the Peg Egan PAC, on the marina breakwall or as close to the marina as possible. The beach will close at 4pm for fireworks set up.
Wednesday, July 4
Independence Day Parade, 1:30 p.m.
Voted 'Best of Door County!'
Runs south along Hwy 42 from the north end of Church Street to Ball Park Rd
To participate in the parade, line up facing north along Church Street. Candy and other items may not be tossed from the float / parade vehicle, only handed out curbside. Silly string, water cannons and squirt guns are prohibited.

Fish Creek
July 4
Hairpin Run, July 4 8:30 a.m. Traditionally held on the morning of the 4th of July, the Hairpin Run is a fun 5K run/ walk for all ages and abilities. The course begins at the base of the Fish Creek bluff and winds back down through picturesque Cottage Row. Registration at the Old Gibraltar Town Hall from 6:30-7:30am. Summer Festival & Fireworks, Saturday, July 7 Celebrate our country’s Independence on the picturesque waterfront of Fish Creek. Clark Park is the stage for the Fish Creek Summer Festival and Fireworks on Saturday, July 7. It’s good old-fashioned fun for the entire family – all day and night. Festivities begin at noon and culminate with a spectacular fireworks display over the bay at 10pm.
Beginning at noon..
Tasty Summer Treats – all proceeds from concessions benefit our local non-profits! Enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers, corn-on-the-cob, cotton candy, fresh squeezed lemonade, ice cream bars and more.
Cold Beer on Tap - our friendly folks will be serving soda and water as well.
Live DJ – bring a blanket and chill on the grass while listening to fun summer tunes by Steve Sherman.
Dunk Tank – back by popular demand! Try your hand at soaking some of Fish Creek’s “characters.”
Summer Fest 50/50 Raffle – throughout the day – great cash prizes awarded.
T-Shirts for Sale – Grab your Summer Fest Gibby wear while they’re hot!
Beginning at 3pm…
Old-Time Games for the Kids – sack races, water balloon toss, three-legged race, tug-of-war and more.
Cherry Pie-Eating Contest – sloppy fun for all ages. Sponsored by Sweetie Pies in Fish Creek.

Live Music by Big Mouth and the Power Tool Horns (6-10pm) – It’s always a rockin’ good time when the local favorite Big Mouth hits the stage.
Venetian Boat Parade (8pm) – Prepare to be dazzled as boats in the marinas and the harbor light up the night sky in this festive, “new and improved” boat parade.

FIREWORKS (10pm) – Our town may be small, but our fireworks are not. Grab your blankets, find a spot by the water and get ready for a spectacular fireworks display over the bay.

Baileys Harbor - July 4 Celebration
-Parade starts at 10 a.m.
-Big Mouth and the Power Tool Horns will perform live immediately following the parade.
-Eli Mattson is the headline performer, immediately after Big Mouth.
-Fireworks show will begin shortly after dusk.
-The Door County Trolley will be providing transportation from designated parking areas to the downtown area
-100 arts & crafts booths
-Inflatables for the kids to play on and get all that energy out
-The Baileys Harbor Community Association and the Baileys Harbor Athletic Association will be selling brats, hamburgers, hot dogs, sweet corn, Wisconsin cheese curds, french fries, ice cream novelties, beer, soda & water, in the large tent behind the Town Hall.

If you wish to enter a float in the parade CLICK HERE for the sign up sheet.
* DO NOT PARK vehicles on Summit Road that are not in the parade.
* For the safety of all parade-goers, The Door County Sherriff's Department does not allow candy to be thrown from floats . Your volunteers can walk alongside your float to hand out the candy.
* When moving through the parade route please do not stop your float as it causes lulls in the parade.

Maplewood - July 4
Maplewood holds its fireworks show at dusk Wednesday. Parking is available at the ball park next to Forestville Town Hall on County H, just west of Wisconsin 42, and Richard’s Pub and Grill, County H and Wisconsin 42. Richard’s Pub also hosts an antique tractor show starting with a ride through the community at 2 p.m., and food and drink will be available at Richard’s or the ball park. Sturgeon Bay - Sturgeon Bay Celebrates! - July 4
Come join the fun at the Sturgeon Bay Fireworks July 4th at Sunset Park. Great fun for everyone! Two bounce houses!! Music by DJ Michael Raye & The Peninsula Symphonic Band! Great food by the Pioneer Fire Department serving starts at 5pm with an ice cream social sponsored by the Sturgeon Bay Visitor Center at 7pm, and of course spectacular fireworks! Enjoy the fabulous celebration with friends and family! There are spectacular viewing points from all around the bay. You can create your own festivities or join us at Sunset Park.

Patriotic music 4 until 8pm
Sundae Social starts at 6pm
Peninsula Symphonic Band performance starts at 8pm

Downtown Gills Rock
