The Kewaunee Food Pantry is just over halfway to the needed funds to purchase their building from previous pantry coordinators Lakeshore CAP. That’s according to Pantry President Ken Marquardt.
Lakeshore CAP initially asked $135,000 for the building, but that number has changed in the pantry’s favor.

Marquardt says the pantry should get a big boost in the needed funds from their second annual Dancing in the Streets event planned for August 26th. The event will feature live music, food, vendors, games for kids, and prizes.
The Kewaunee County Food Pantry serves over 360 families from the region. Marquardt says one of the most popular things about the pantry is the choice it offers to those who need it.
