Those driving through Egg Harbor on Highway 42 may notice a vacant lot where a familiar building once stood. The structure most recently housed the Jersey Shore and was knocked down this spring.
The plan is to put a new building in that spot that will house an expanded library and a Wi-Fi Café. The space also will be the new home of the Egg Harbor Visitor Center.
Village Administrator Josh Van Lieshout says the timeline for the project isn’t set in stone yet.

Van Lieshout says the village board is working to put together a strategy group to further build the vision for the project over the course of the summer. He says more specifics of the plan should come this fall.
