Usually when the last bell on the final day of school rings students are focused on summer and having fun. Algoma made it all the way to the semifinal game in state competition in Madison before losing 6-4 to Poynette.
Assistant Coach Eric Pieschek says he is proud of his girls…
With that being said Algoma has some big shoes to fill. The three seniors, Amanda Mura, Kaylee Pieschek and Courtney Dart led the Wolves to state for the first time since 2004. These three girls led their team in batting first, second, and third respectively in the Wolves lineup.
Junior first baseman Tanika Jorgenson has a lot to say about the senior group…
With all the support for the Wolves, Madison was an experience they will never forget. Dart says the support of the community has been huge to their success. Mura adds that state was a once in a lifetime experience and that her team goes by the quote, “never say die.” Pieschek explains that not every senior can end their season at state and expresses that the team has become one big family.
