A few days ago we told you about the dedication of the Grand View Scenic Overlook and Park in Ellison Bay.
There were over 300 people in attendance for the ceremony on Saturday. That's according to Door County Land Trust Development Director Laurel Hauser.
Norb Blei gave a dedication speech to the group. Hauser also says onlookers were able to see some nature that is now protected in action.
Hauser says very soon the Land Trust will be turning the long term management and ownership of the park over to the town of Liberty Grove. The two organizations have worked together on the project.

The top four acres will be maintained as a scenic overlook. The land trust will be doing some habitat restoration in the bottom 12 acres. Hiking trails are also to be installed in the lower section of the park later this summer or early in the fall. Hauser says other planned enhancements include a kiosk with a grounds map, and improved parking off the highway.
