A film crew is shooting an outdoor sports program in Door County.
An episode of “Mills Fleet Farm’s We Love It Outdoors,” is filming entirely in Door County throughout all four seasons leading up to a First quarter 2013 air date
The program’s host is Minnesota fishing guide and all around outdoorsman Dan Eigen.
Eigen says a goal of this visit is to capture the family vacation aspect of outdoor activity in the Door. Eigen and the entire film crew are staying at Sturgeon Bay’s Lodge At Leathem Smith. Eigen says the resort has served as a great launching point for his family and crew's activities in the area.
Eigen adds the visit would not be complete without taking part in the year’s extraordinary salmon bite.
He says the group also plans to do some zip lining, geocaching, and a little exploration of area parks and lighthouses on this visit.
They will come back to capture the beauty the Door has to offer outdoors several more times. They hope to capture activities like white tail hunting, ice fishing, and a turkey hunt.
“Mills Fleet Farm’s We Love It Outdoors,” is being produced by professional group Lindner Media Productions. The show will air on Fox Sports North and Fox Sports Wisconsin when it is released next year.
